The Promold Solar Winter Waterer for dug-outs can be operated with solar, 110 or 220 power. Water is pumped by a mechanical timed switch on cow demand, utilizing generated power. For best performance a wet well should be used and a separate return line to the dug-out. Water not consumed drains back to the dug-out.Units are available with single or double port, & single or double switch. Designed for portability, the Dug-out Water Box can be used year round.
Promold Insulated Water Box
The Promold Insulated Water Box will save you money! Designed for pressurized water & no power. The Water Box comes insulated with 2 water ports; 2 cows can drink out of 1 port. Cattle reach through the insulated flaps to get water, entrapping exhaled BTU's from the cows. Water should be turned every 12 hours. Thermal heat from ground tubes is utilized. In high water tables, substitute ground tubes with 40watt lightbulb. Control water level from 30 to 80 imp. gal., depending on herd count for consumption of water. In summer application, water is kept cool.
Promold Insulated Water Ports come with insulated flaps. Cattle must reach inside, keeping water away from outside elements. Split flap on outside allows cattle to open easily, solid flap on inside ensures added protection from wind & cold. Flaps are weighted to close. When not needed, flaps can be flipped up. Easy to install.
